1- Overview: App Launching & ASO

App launching describes the process of getting a mobile application visible in the App Stores. By that, users can visit the Product Pages (App Pages) and download the app. For a successful launch, it’s not only about publishing the App and getting approved by App Store. It also requires developers and marketers to collaborate in working on the Metadata, App Icons & Screenshots.

Note: The Metadata refers to the combo of App Name, Short Description & Long Description

At this stage, the critical responsibility of the ASO team is preparing the set of items above for submission to App Stores

2- Why is ASO important for the App Launching?

Whenever my businesses launch a new app, I keep reminding my ASO team to put in 10,000,000% effort. Since I really understand the importance of this stage and hope my team members are aware of it either.

If someone in my team does the ASO for App Launching carelessly, they will see my [Unhappy Face] ^.^ Just a joke, but I would like to emphasize it again: put in 10,000,000% effort during this stage!

Remember that every word you write in the Metadata can help you up-rank your app or… down-rank it. Every screenshot you provide can increase the app download rate… or decrease it. This means all factors you prepare for during this stage can immediately or gradually affect your ASO performance.
